What is Kaplan Abogados' Legal Accelerator?
The Legal Accelerator is a program in which Kaplan Abogados invests in selected startups under the same terms as the round's angel investors. In return, the startup receives full legal coverage without paying fees during the coverage period.
What does it mean that you enter "under the same terms as angel investors"?
It means Kaplan Abogados participates as an investor in the startup's current round under the same economic and legal terms as the angel investors joining that same round: same price per share, same rights, and same dilution conditions.
What legal services are included in the coverage?
Coverage includes full legal support during the agreed period: Term Sheet review and negotiation, investment rounds, corporate structuring, commercial contracts, compliance, intellectual property, and any day-to-day legal needs of the startup's operations.
Can any startup apply to the program?
No. Kaplan Abogados selects projects with high growth potential, a solid team, and a validated or validating business model. The application process includes an evaluation of the project, team, and traction before confirming admission to the program.
What growth stages does the program cover?
The program is available for pre-seed, seed, and Series A startups. Legal coverage and investment terms are defined according to the startup's specific stage and the round in progress.
